ST JOSEPH, Mo. — With 5.3 remaining on the clock, the Texas A&M University-Lions were down 72-71 after Missouri Western guard Ashleigh Curry hit a lay-up to give the Griffons the late lead.
Having to go the full length of the court, Lion guard Britney Jordan took the in-bounds pass,drove down the court before getting triple teamed, dished to a wide open Katedria Mosley underneath the basket and she dropped in game winning lay-up as time expired.
The 28-8 Lions will now play in the South Central Regional finals against Washburn, who has an overall record of 29-3 while defeating two Lone Star Conference teams Angelo State and West Texas A&M.
