Annual Halloween carnival fun for all

On Oct. 31, children can look forward to the Smith Hall Halloween Carnival.

The carnival is an annual project that is for the kids of the area to attend, and will be held on Wednesday, October 31.

“The festivities will kick off at 6:00 pm and will include a costume contest, pumpkin painting, and games for the children to play, and trick or treating.” Brian Anderson, Director of Smith Hall, said

Some of the games that will be played include sitting ducks, the bean bag Toss and a football toss.

“Each of these games will all be going on simultaneously at different stations throughout the Smith Hall Lobby while the festivities take place.” Anderson, said

Prizes for the kids include all kinds of candy, as well as popcorn that will be available for all ages to enjoy.

There will also be a Halloween movie appropriate for all ages on the big screen television located in the lobby.

“We have a total of 40 Smith Hall residents who have signed up to help out with the carnival in various areas,” Anderson said

In addition, several organizations across campus will be participating including, the Student Government Association, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, the F-Halls and Berry Halls staff.

“We are still in dire need of candy donations though and any help from faculty, staff, students, or the community will be greatly appreciated,” Anderson said.
