Texas A&M University-Commerce junior Nabil El-Amin was recently named to the Second Team Daktronics All-Southwest Region Team as a kickoff returner. The Rochester, NY, native earlier this year was named First Team All-Lone Star Conference North Division as a running back and as a kick returner.
As a kick returner, El-Amin ran back 19 kicks for 537 yards and two touchdowns for an average of 28.3 yards per return. His 97-yard kickoff return against Northeastern State is the longest return by an A&M-Commerce player at Memorial Stadium. Later that week, he earned LSC North Division Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his efforts. On his second return, a 90-yard return against East Central, it was his fourth touchdown of the contest en route to earning LSC North Division Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
