Kim K. slapped with lawsuit
Feb. 4 – The mother of former singer and star of “Moesha,” Brandy, is suing everyone even linked to the Kardashian name. According to a lawysuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Sonja Norwood, Brandy’s mother, is claiming that in 2004, when Kim Karsashian was a stylist, she was permitted to use Sonja’s American Express card to make a purchase on Mamma Brandy’s behalf. The suit is also claiming that Kim gave the card to the other members of her family to go on a shopping spree, racking up $62,793.83 in unauthorized charges. Then, three years later, in 2007, the Kardashians decided to blow through another $57,841.82. Ummm …. has a certain someone ever heard of canceling their credit card? Apparently not.
Nothing a few pink roses can’t cure
Feb. 4 – On again, off again boytoy of Britney Spears, Adnan visited Brit in the hospital today, bearing a gift of pink roses for the estranged pop-star. There’s no word as to whether or not he actually made it into Ms. Spears hospital room. Of course, a restraining order tends to put a kink in such actions.
One word: Sanjaya
Feb. 4 – He was pretty much the diva of the super bowl this past Sunday. Immediately following the game, Sanjaya was spotted getting thousands of dollars worth of free jewelry and spa treatment. When the paparazzi caught up with him, the former American Idol participant demanded that the photographers pay him $20 to take his picture.
Super Bowl catastrophe
Jan. 28- – If you just snoozed through Paula Abdul’s Super Bowl pre-show performance, where she lip synced “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow,” never fear …. you didn’t really miss much. The highlight of the entire thing was realizing that Randy Jackson was also standing around in the background, playing bass! That’s right, dawg!
Katharine says “I do!”
Feb. 3- The former American Idol runner up, Katharine McPhee married her longtime boyfriend in Los Angeles on Saturday. McPhee says she and her husband, 43-year-old Nick Cokas, were strictly platonic before she auditioned for the hit show.
Spears taken in … no, not that one!
Feb. 3- The slightly less famous Spears, comic Aries Spears, was arrested in New York Saturday night on a misdemeanor charge of forcible touching. The NYPD received a 911 call just after midnight after a woman claimed that Spears had fondled her at the Comix Comedy Club in Manhattan, where Spears had performed that night. He was arrested just before 1 a.m., taken to the station and booked. He received a desk appearance ticket and was released. A rep for Spears could not be located for comment. The comedy club said they had no comment on the incident, only that Spears would not be finishing his second performance of the night.
