A&M-C rocks the vote 2008

With the presidential election heating up and gearing toward November, the student government association (SGA) set up four tables around campus encouraging people to register to vote.

The tables were set up at key locations around campus. A table accompanied with music in the east circle seemed to be the most successful having registered in two hours nearly 150 new voters.

Another was set up at the head of the stairs leading from the financial aid office into the east circle. There were two more tables registering students on the north and south ends of Ferguson Hall.

All of the tables were handing out T-shirts with the logo, “Rock the Vote” for registering. This incentive and the upbeat music was enough to have nearly 400 people register to vote for the next president of the United States.
