One sport gaining major popularity, but still rarely thought of unless there’s a tournament somewhere is horseshoes. That’s Right! Horseshoes, how long has it been since you have played a game of horseshoes? Well that’s too long. At Texas A&M University-Commerce they had a horseshoe tournament last Thursday at the Cain Sports Complex and some of the competitors gave their opinion about why they like horseshoes so much. Miranda Bille said she likes horseshoes because it’s fun.
Another person entered in the tournament Corey Molloy called horseshoes,
“Competitive and fun. ” Amanda Thompson who was watching the tournament from the sidelines, likes the sport because, it gives the sororities and fraternities a chance to come out and play each other in a fun environment and also relax. Michael Gowens who also watched the tournament from the golf cart likes the sport cause, ” It brings out a lot of people to get their mind off of school and to come out and be competitive.
Jay Pickens who played in the tournament likes horseshoes because, ” Everyone has a good time. Scott Palomino another entry in the tournament calls horseshoes, “A sport that you don’t have to be completely athletic to play.” In other words anyone can play horseshoes, you don’t have to be a football, baseball, basketball or soccer player to play.
