Freshman A&M-Commerce student and football player Kenzee Jackson was cited for theft after he entered the Sam Rayburn Student Center cafeteria without paying for his meal or displaying an A&M-Commerce I.D. card and proving that he had purchased a meal plan. Jackson was let in the exit door by another student. Jackson’s entrance was witnessed by University Police Department officers Jason Bone and Kyle Lowe, who were eating breakfast.
According to Bone, Jackson proceeded to go to the food line and was asked to step outside the cafeteria by Bone. Bone issued Jackson a citation for theft under $50. Jackson complied with Bone’s requests and stated that he a meal plan but had forgotten his student I.D. card. The student who let him in the door was referred to his dean for potential university judiciary action.
Jackson was not available for comment at press time.
