UPD investigating New Pride vandalism

Profane graffiti was discovered around the front door and window of New Pride apartment 315.

Officer Williams was dispatched to the scene and observed the graffiti, which appeared to be flat black or dark gray primer from an aerosol can. It spelled out profane words and statements such as “Hoes” and “Little dicks live here.”

Resident of the tainted apartment, Tevin Godfrey, made the initial call to the police on Jan. 26. Godfrey stated that at just 11:30 p.m. the night before, he and his roommates were in their apartment, and the paintings were not there. He noticed them as he headed out of his apartment toward the Morris Recreation Center at 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 26.

Godfrey stated that he did not recall anyone being offended recently by him or his roommates and that it could have been anyone residing there.

Godfrey had speculations that “it was obviously a female.” Williams, however, reported that there was no indication that it was.

UPD will be investigating the incident further and releasing more information as it is uncovered.
