New Kids are back on block

It’s been fourteen years since New Kids on the Block had teenage girls’ hearts pounding and they’re hoping to do it all over again. Crazy right? Especially since they don’t necessarily look like the teenage heartthrobs they used to be…more like…well….middle-aged guys who might have pasted their prime in the early nineties.

But music isn’t about looks, and you never know, some teenage girls might have a thing for the older-yet still rockin’ guys. Look at Mick Jagger!

Last month, NKOTB released a Greatest Hits album to wet the appetite of the thrirty-somethings awaiting their triumphant comeback on September 2.

As I listened to New Kids on the Block: Greatest Hits, I couldn’t believe the band ever fell apart. “You got it (The Right Stuff)” c’mon there wasn’t a girl in my kindergarten class that didn’t know that song.

After all with all of the “oh oh oh’s” there’s only like five other words. And let’s not forget “Step by Step” and “Cover Girl.” I can only imagine the musical masterpiece their next CD will be.

Voices like that don’t come around every day and with their lyrical genius I’m sure each song will be

the most meaningful, heartfelt delicacy ever.

But for now, I suggest you go out and buy their greatest hits, you don’t want to be the only dude at the concert with a NKOTB T-shirt and not know the originals.
