Texas A&M University-Commerce is winding down for the end of the spring semester, but the Student Government association is just getting started.
SGA is preparing to make changes to their constitution, elect new members and swear in a new president.
“Right now we are still finishing up revisions to our constitution,” Amber Ramoz, Student Government Association president, said.
The constitution has been the same since 2001, although some grammatical errors have been found and title changes have been made.
Currently, CTIS is working to get a link to the constitution on the University’s webpage.
The ballot for the upcoming election will include the old and new constitutions, with all changes highlighted.
“We want the student body to see what the revisions are and why they were made,” Ramoz said.
Along with changing the constitution, SGA will have some new faces among them in the Fall and will be voting on the changes, which must pass the student senate and student body.
