The Lions men’s golf team hosted the annual Lion Invitational Oct. 31-Nov. 1, in The Colony, Texas and their A team posted 5th overall with a score of 584 (8 over). Though the Lions could not take the team victory, sophomore Chris Leasor managed to take home best individual score with 134 (10 under). A&M-Commerce’s B team finished 11th out of 11 with a score of 632 (56 over).
Freshman Marcus Sanna finished second on the A team with a score of 148 (4 over), tying him for 26th place individually. Sophomore Patrick Russo tied for 34th with 150 (6 over) while freshman Derek Rucki placed 42nd with a score of 152 (8 over). Freshman Jarret Martin finished off the A team in 50th place with a score of 160 (16 over).
Freshman Kyle Middleton topped the B team tied for 30th with 149 (5 over) and freshman Cade Grimm tied for 34th with 150 (6 over). Sophomore John Moug finished 57th with 166 (22 over) and freshman Brett Bradshaw finished out the B team with 167 (23 over).
