The Honors College of Texas A&M University-Commerce is offering a $3,000 scholarship to be awarded for the 2008-2009 school year.

The scholarship is available for students who have completed a minimum of 48 hours prior to this semester and, as of Fall 2008, must still need to complete at least 24 semester hours toward a degree. The student must have a 3.5 GPA on both composite and all work completed at A&M-Commerce. The student must be returning to the University for two full semesters in the 2008-2009 school year, be enrolled in at least 12 hours this semester and have completed at least 15 hours in the last year.

Students can only compete for the Mayo Scholarship once and it can only be applied to undergraduate courses on campus. If the scholarship is awarded, then the student will see adjustments in their financial aid.

For an application, visit the Honors Web site at www.tamu-commerce.edu/honors. For information, contact Dr. Raymond Green, director of the Honors College, at 903-886-3033.
