Flag to half-staff after tragic car crash
A single car accident took the life of an A&M-Commerce student last night near Groveton, Texas.
Rajesh Puli, 25, was traveling southbound at about 7:45 p.m. when he lost control of his SUV as it left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Slick road conditions might have been partially to blame. Puli was pronounced dead at the scene, and the accident report stated he was wearing a seatbelt.
A&M-Commerce will fly its flag at half-staff tomorrow in honor of Puli. The transfer student was studying for his Master's degree in Technology Management. A memorial service is being planned by the India Student Association.
This is the second student the ISA and A&M-Commerce has seen die in a car accident this academic year after India-native Suman Kumar Reddy Kukunoor passed away last September.
