Two involved in library fight

Two individuals were involved in an altercation on the fifth floor of the James G. Gee Library at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20. None of the individuals involved were A&M-Commerce students, but all were acquainted. By the time University Police Department officers arrived at the Library, one of the parties had left.

According to the young woman who was attacked, she and her boyfriend went up to the fifth floor of the library and entered into a conversation with the assailant, who then attempted to attack the young woman. She and her boyfriend then returned to the first floor, where they informed library employees about the incident.

UPD will be filing a report and will attempt to apprehend the alleged assailant on trespassing charges.
