Snowfall on campus is closing the campus early Thursday afternoon

Winter weather closed the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce early Thursday, Feb.11.

According to Lt. Jason Bone of the University Police Department, the decision was made to close at 3 p.m. on Thursday because of snowfall and accumulation in the Commerce area. Initially, the campus was to reopen at 12 p.m. on Friday, but a bulletin from the Pride Alert Warning System (PAWS) later Thursday evening advised the school will remain closed all day Friday as well.

The PAWS system will update all students and faculty via email, phone and text messages should further delays or closures need to be made.

University Police and Lt. Jason Bone can be contacted at jason_bone@tamu-commerce.edu and 903-886-5866.
